Michael L. Chaney
Mr. Chaney provides the US Government and corporate business a broad horizon of experience. He lends his background to all levels of client support both vertically and horizontally. He has conducted border security surveys, emergency evacuation planning, training of security forces, and the protection of cargo and executives worldwide. He has conducted these programs in support of the United States Government and corporate clients in the United States and overseas. He is recognized as an expert in the DOD and civilian security arena. Mr. Chaney retired from the U.S. Army Special Operations Command having served in the 5th Special Forces Group, 7th Special Forces Group, 1st BN 75th Rangers, and a designated special mission unit. Mr. Chaney is a multi-theater combat veteran.
Since his retirement from the Special Operations Command, Mr. Chaney has served as a Program Manager, Senior Program Manager, and Director for such organizations as Sytex Group, Lockheed Martin, Specialized Transport International, and ManTech Corporation.
Mr. Chaney has conducted programs with the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) and the Center of Disease Control (CDC) to develop, prepare, and supervise the security operations at United States Government vaccine repositories that is the national response to a Weapon of Mass Destruction biological or chemical attack. While conducting the Weapons of Mass Destruction support at the highest levels of the United States Government, Mr. Chaney supported US allies in the operational intelligence and training for the combating of known terrorist and insurgent activities.
He has also served as a subject matter expert for the Joint Staff J-34. He was part of a five person team that wrote the first J-34 Anti-Terrorism / Force Protection Manual to be used as the standard in the development of force protection plans DOD wide. Mr. Chaney has conducted Anti-Terrorism Force Protection (ATFP) assessments worldwide for some the most sensitive locations of both in the United States and throughout NATO.
Mr. Chaney has worked in very fluid and politically sensitive programs, but none more so than as a member of four Olympics planning and operational support cells in 1984, 1988, 1996, and 2004.
Mr. Chaney holds a current Top Secret security clearance.
